We envision a community involved in the arts. Our mission is to promote artists, art education, and innovation in art.

Arts can be a vehicle to spark conversations and spur social change. We aim to achieve our mission through our programs and events. Two of these occur in our classroom space here at Church Street Studios, Creation Classes, and Kid's Art Club.

Creation Classes are developed and led by HCAC artist members and span mediums such as fused glass, painting, and jewelry-making.

Every third Thursday HCAC holds Kid's Art Club! Kid's Art Club’s mission is to ignite and nurture creativity in the youth of Haywood County! Art is a fantastic outlet for problem-solving and self-expression.

Our downtown Waynesville gallery, Haywood Handmade is the heart of our organization and the key to accomplishing our mission of promoting artists and innovation in art. The gallery provides a prime location for artists to show and sell their work, engaging community members and visitors!
